Recall is calculated from the number of hits returned divided by the total number of hits in the database. Recall will increase as more parts are returned and the steeper the curve, the better the system performance. Two plot shown here: the blue graph shows the performance using a detailed original model.
Search Speeds
Tests on the above 3D database with, show that the coding speed for a 3D model is <3 seconds, with searches being equally as fast. These times were taken on a standard personal computer of modest
specification - 2.4GHz Pentium 4, 2GB memory. Most CAD workstations
can be expected to be more powerful than this.
